Carolyn A. Chronister, 84, of Shiloh, died on August 23, 2022, just one day shy of her 85th birthday. She was born on August 24, 1937 in Shelby, the daughter of Raymond and Esther Kochenderfer.
Carolyn was an active and faithful member of the Adario United Methodist Church. She was a longtime volunteer for the Shiloh Ox Roast, and the Renaissance Theater. She worked as a poll worker on Election Days and was a member of the Farmers Institute, Rome Club and Mothers Club. Carolyn loved to bake and enjoyed traveling, gardening and canning.
On April 21, 1957, Carolyn married John Chronister who survives. Together they have shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Mark Chronister (Brenda), Terry Chronister (Sandy), Dan Chronister (Juanita) and Lyle (Marsha) Chronister; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and two special caregivers, Donna and Jean.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her siblings; Ladonna Swindle, Marilou Witmer and Paul Koehenderfer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Adario United Methodist Church, 1720 Adario North Road, Shiloh, OH 44878 where her Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m., burial will follow at the Adario Cemetery.
