Charles Todd “Chuck” Blank, 55, of Norwalk, Ohio died on February 25, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital after courageously battling COVID-19. He was born on September 15, 1965 in Sandusky to Gracie (Roseborough) and the now deceased Charles Frank Blank. Chuck graduated from Ashland High School and served his country as part of the United States Navy.
A lover of all things music, Chuck played guitar, banjo, piano, drums, and the harmonica, and had a deep appreciation for all kinds of music. He played in the worship team for his church, Word of Grace Church, Norwalk and enjoyed playing pool and being a beloved husband, father, and cherished grandfather.
Chuck was a talented tile installer and member of the Local 46 Union, Fremont.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, LouAnn (Smith) Blank; sons, Brad (Michelle) Blank of Elyria, OH, Nate Blank of Charlotte, NC, and Levi (Ashley) Blank of Gibsonburg, OH; parents, Gracie (Phil) Vermillion of Ashland, OH; grandchildren, Aiden, Hailey, Nicholas and Elliot and sister, Tina (Brian) Burns of Ashland, OH.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frank Blank.
A visitation will be held at Word of Grace Church, 2532 US Route 250 South, Norwalk, OH on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 2 – 5 p.m. where a funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, March 5, 2021 beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ernie Robles officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in the veteran’s section of Woodlawn Cemetery with military honors conducted. Guests to the church are reminded to bring and wear a mask. Social distancing and mass gathering guidelines will be observed.
