Clara M Hose, 79 of New London died Sunday, August 31, 2014 after a brief illness at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. She was born on December 11, 1934 in McKeesport, PA to the late Frederick and Emma (nee Greenawalt) Roth. Clara grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Ohio after marrying her husband of over 60 years, the late James Hose. They lived in Elyria and then Vermilion for several years.
Clara enjoyed playing bingo, baking and cooking and she loved listening to music, especially gospel, country and Christmas music.
Clara is survived by her children James Fredrick Hose of Wadsworth, Linda Innes of New London, Luann Roelle of KY, and Bruce Hose of New London; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, sisters Vickie Rogers of Georgia and Susan Cox of Vermilion. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, and sisters Audrey, Fern and Loretta.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd from 6-9 p.m.at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, in Avon. Donations in Clara's memory may be directed to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Rd, Lorain, 44053.
