Cynthia Ann Fishbaugh, 67, of Wellington, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at University Hospital in Cleveland. Born on September 25, 1954 in Willard, she was the daughter of Deborah (nee Barre) and the late Lawrence Brown, Jr. Cindy grew up in Greenwich and was a 1973 graduate of South Central High School. In school she was active with 4-H, enjoyed showing horses and was the head majorette. She lived in the Greenwich area until moving to Wellington in 1995.
Cindy worked in banking for 39 years; she worked her way up from a teller to a bank manager. After retiring from banking, she worked for 10 years at CVS. Apart from her own career, Cindy worked side by side with her husband as he owned and operated East of Chicago Pizza in Wellington, Grafton, LaGrange and Vermilion. In 2012 they decided to sell their restaurants. Most recently, Cindy had taken the position of clerk at Wellington Greenwood Cemetery.
Cindy loved to decorate - dressing her home for each season throughout the year. She was a devoted HGTV watcher and loved all the inspiration. In the warmer months, Cindy could be found outside, tending her many gardens, mowing, and sprucing up the outside of their home.
Her house wasn’t the only thing she liked to decorate, Cindy was known to find hats for her beloved cat, take pictures and share them on social media. She truly adored her family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and her mother.
Survivors include her loving husband Gerald; son Brad (Shay) Fishbaugh, of Lakewood; grandchildren, Liberty, Reese, and Reagan; her mother Deb Brown, of Norwalk; brothers, Mike Brown, of Medina, and Larry (Kelly) Brown, of Lake Norman, NC and former daughter in law and mother to her grandchildren, Stephanie (Peter) Dohm. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Brown, Jr.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, December 11, from 11 a.m. until the time of a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. Ripley Church, 4130 Edwards Road, Greenwich, Ohio, 44837.
