Danny "BuckWheat" Baugh

Danny “BuckWheat” Baugh, of Willard 62, went home to be with Jesus Friday, January 14, 2022. Danny was born January 28, 1959, in Willard, he was the son of the late Ruby (Neely) and Claude Baugh.  Danny worked very closely with Amish community and enjoyed his relationships with them.  Danny enjoyed fishing, camping, blue grass music, talking on his CB with the handle “BuckWheat” but most of all spending time with his loving family and friends. Danny was known to give the absolute best hugs to everyone and loved his family dearly. If there was such a thing as a “crazy cat man” Danny would have qualified for that title because he loved his cats. 

Danny was greatly loved and shall be sadly be missed, however his loving spirit lives on through his wife of 32 years Sharlene (Hicks) Baugh, of Willard; son, Joshua Baugh, of Shelby; siblings, Marsha and Charles Oney, of Missouri; Kathy King, of Willard, Julia and Otis Sanders, of Willard; Lucy Thornsberry, of Willard, Jessie Romo of Willard, and Sharon and Randy Dalton, of Louisiana; Sharlene’s brother, Samuel Hicks of Las Vegas and 2 special friends, Ron Vanderpool, of Willard and Rob Beck, aka Pinball, of Shiloh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Triplett; brother, Claude Glenn Baugh; sister, Janice Romo; sister, Peggy Shafer ; Brothers-in-law, Leslie King, Johnny Thornsberry, Henry Shaffer and sister- in- law Diane Marie Hicks.    

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, Monday, January 17, 2022, at the Willard Church of God, 4551 Willard West Road, with services beginning at 7:00 PM Monday.  Burial will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Willard.  The staff of the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W.
