Danny D Dotson

Danny Douglas Dotson, 65, of Norwalk, Ohio, died unexpectedly, Thursday, October 15, 2020, in Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Ohio.  He was born on July 1, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Rosalee H. (Shelton) Poore and Wilmer H. Dotson. Danny graduated from Elyria High School, and proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a former employee of the Maple Tree Lounge, and Industrial Powder Coating, Inc, both in Norwalk, Ohio.

He loved fishing with his wife, Cheryl, and his brother, Dennis Dotson. He enjoyed raising and working in his vegetable garden and loved spending time with his family.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl A. Dotson of Norwalk, Ohio, his three sisters, Deborah Hite of Ellenboro, North Carolina, Darlene Archer of Greenwich, Ohio, and Danita Tellado of Newton, North Carolina, by two brothers, Dennis Dotson of New London, Ohio, and Jessie Poore of Icard, North Carolina.  He is also survived by two sons, Joe Dotson and Nicholas Dotson by one stepdaughter, Lyndie Board, by two granddaughters, by two grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by two sisters, Donna Dotson Verzone, and Dianna Haynes, by two brothers, Charles Wade Poore, and Darrell Lee Poore.

There will be no visitation or services. The family is planning a private gathering at a later date.
