David A. Winters, 61, died on August 16, 2023, at his home, in Monroeville, Ohio. He was born on August 27, 1961, in Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Robert L. and Dorothy J. (Fodge) Winters and was a 1980 Huron High School graduate.
Dave was a good man who was kind to others. He was an avid beer can collector and history buff, who enjoyed visiting museums and going to the races, especially the Norwalk Raceway. He loved cats, and classic cars, especially Chevy models. He was self-sufficient, green minded, and independent. His talents with wood working and landscaping were very evident throughout his home, which he remodeled himself. He also enjoyed 4-wheelers, guns, and target shooting.
Dave worked for Borgers Inc. where he was a material handler.
He is survived by his sister, Bobbi Mosley; niece, Danielle Mosley; nephews, Dustin (Kenzie) Mosley and Devon (Sam) Mosley; great nieces, Ruby and Stevie; stepmother, Ann Winters; step siblings, Michelle (Paul) Finley, Marqueta (Gene) Galyean, and Mark Willis; uncle, Bobby Fodge; aunt, Helen Lather; and lots of cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Mike Willis, and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life is being planned for Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the Norwalk Eagles 711, 151 Cline St., Norwalk, Ohio, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, Norwalk, is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
