We are saddened to share the passing of Delaney Giles. Delaney was a member of the 2021-2022 senior class at Monroeville High School. Her final weekend was spent celebrating as the 2021 Homecoming Queen with her friends and family.
Ever the social butterfly, Delaney loved all aspects of her school community. She enjoyed people and laughter, helping friends, and celebrating life. While it might cost you a trip to Dunkin for a lavender latte, Delaney would always rush to support friends and family in a time of need.
In school, Delaney excelled academically and as a member of the volleyball, basketball, and track and field teams for Monroeville. She was a proud member of the Teen Leadership team, 4H, FFA, and numerous AAU teams.
True to her helping spirit Delaney continues to support others with her desire to donate life as an organ donor.
Delaney is survived by her parents, Jerry and Kristin Giles; her paternal grandparents, John and Connie Giles; her maternal grandmother, Renee Woodworth; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Huron County Fairgrounds Expo Building, 940 Fair Rd., Norwalk from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., where a funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, September 24, 2021 beginning at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in North Fairfield Cemetery.
