Dennis Innes

It is with deep sorrow and much love we mourn the passing of Dennis Innes on Sunday, May 23, 2021,

after a long courageous fight with cancer.  He was born and grew up in Elyria, Ohio, Attending and Graduating from Elyria High School, Class of 1970.  He retired from the Cleveland Clinic after 25 years of being a radiation therapist.

Dennis was a great cook, telling anyone who would listen, “They should try everything at least once”.

He loved spoiling and sneaking treats to his dog, watching old movies and nature.  He enjoyed getting together with family and friends for a card game or a good old fashion game of monopoly, always for five bucks, you know, “To make it interesting”.  He was a talented guitar and keyboard player, though he’d never admit it, and he loved to beat on the drums from time to time also. Dennis never quit learning and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing practical jokes on us.

Left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Melanie (Lovell), Son, Aaron (Lauren) of Wellington. Sister, Robin (Dale) Kaminski, of Elyria, In Laws, Jennifer & Chuck Harmon of Wellington, Barb Innes of Xenia, Sue Innes of Vermilion, Dave Minnillo of Elyria, many nieces and nephews, and Several Good Friends, from all over the place.

Waiting for him at heavens door are his parents, George and Jennie Innes, Brothers, Terry and Dave, and Sister, Becky, and many extended Family and Friends who have gone before him.

Per Dennis’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.

Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Dennis’ name may do so to Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain Ohio.

This is not Good Bye, Den.  You will live on in the hearts of all of those who knew and loved you.  Until we meet again, See ya, Love ya, Bye.
