Dixie Stewart Obituary

Dixie A. Stewart, a resident of Moscow, Ohio, passed away June 30, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born June 26, 1937 in Shelby, Ohio, daughter of the late Gladys and Albert Wilson.

Dixie was the loving wife of Robert E. Stewart for 64 years, beloved mother of Vicki Johnson (Greg), Robin McCabe and Kelley Stewart, cherished grandmother of Michael Johnson (Molly), Amy Taylor, Robert McCabe (Sara), Heather McCabe, Shayne Menkhaus, Jessi Menkhaus, Elijah Menkhaus and the late Tyler McCabe and great-grandmother of Xavier, Camdin, Makhi, Savannah, Noah, Cory, Trevor and Jaxson and dear sister of Danny Wilson (Boots) and the late Dean Wilson and Dennis Wilson. Dixie had a long career in banking, retiring as branch manager from Star Bank (currently US Bank).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Dixie’s name, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001 (alzfdn.org).

A graveside visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 1:00 to 1:30 pm at the Edwards Grove Cemetery, Edwards Rd, Greenwich, OH 44837.  The graveside service will begin at 1:30 pm., with Dr. Rick Pettit, officiating. In an effort to minimize risk to our families and staff, we encourage visitors to wear a mask if able and to practice social distancing.  Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
