A beautiful woman became an Angel today!
Dolores C. (Seifker) Betschman, 89, of Norwalk, passed away November 30, 2020. She was born October 14, 1931 in Bellevue, Ohio to the late Theresia and Othmar Seifker. She was a life-long resident of Norwalk and Monroeville, Ohio.
She met her husband, Richard Betschman, while working together at the Rotar Company. After their marriage, she became a homemaker and also worked in the cafeteria at St. Paul School. Together, her and Richard took on a joint venture and became owners and operators of the Hess Hardware Company in Monroeville from 1970-1998.
Dolores is survived by her children, David (Joni) Betschman, of Port Clinton, Ohio, Ronald (Valerie) Betschman, of Monroeville, Ohio, Sharon (Jim Hale) Cherry, of Port Clinton, Ohio, Kathy (Richard) Jump, of Norwalk, Ohio, and Diane (Joseph) Clauda of Toledo, Ohio; family member, Carol Hartzell, of Norwalk, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, France Bowen, of Columbus, Ohio, and Agnes Ruffing, of Monroeville, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Betschman; brother, Nobert Seifker; and grandsons, Ricky Jump and Jason Jump.
The family extends a thank you to the staff at Gaymont Nursing Center, especially Kerri Chandler, and a special thank you to the nurses from Heartland Hospice.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Nowalk, Ohio 44857, with a graveside service to follow.
