Donald D. Hansberger, 92, of Norwalk, died on November 11, 2021 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. He was born to Lillian (Fell) and Everette Hansberger on January 28, 1929, on the family farm.
Don graduated from Norwalk High School in 1946. He worked at various jobs throughout his life but was a farmer and railroad worker at heart.
For 38 years he worked for Nickel Plate/Norfolk Western/Norfolk Southern as a Fireman, Engineer and Yardmaster.
Don worked the family farm on Route 250 for 23 years, raising beef cattle and crops.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte L. (McIntyre) whom he married on January 10, 2017. Also by his three children Dianne (Tim) Kline, Barbara (Marcus) Collins, and Gary (Pam) Hansberger, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and by his second family, James Leaser, Emily Williams, and grandchildren, Kodi, Kayla, Kurtis, James and Gracelynn.
He we preceded in death by his parents, and by his first wife, Irene (Simon) in 2016.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 1 p.m. until the time of the 2 p.m. service at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio.
