Draven B. Matthews

Draven B. Matthews, 26 of New London, OH passed away unexpectedly at Fisher Titus Medical Center on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.   Draven was born in Norwalk, on December 12, 1995, the son of Jeff Matthews and Misty Holmberg. 

Draven attended New London Schools and went on to the adult welding program at EHOVE.  He became a general laborer in the construction field.  When Draven wasn’t working, he was close by family and friends. He loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was helping them with a project after work, playing video games or just being with them, he was there when you needed him.  More recently Draven became a collector of tattoos. 

In addition to his parents, Jeff and Misty, Draven is survived by his children; Gavyn Matthews, Annabelle Matthews and Delaney Matthews; his siblings, Kirsten Matthews, Mason Matthews, Riley Holmberg and Aiden Homberg.    

Draven was preceded in death by his grandparents. Faye Matthews, Robert Matthews, Brenda Holmberg, and Jerry Gougar, and aunt, Bertha Giles. 

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 2 – 8 p.m. at the family’s home, 2305 Jennings Road, (Fitchville), New London, OH.  Eastman Funeral Home, New London assisted the family with arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy and fond memories may be shared with the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
