Earl G. Bauer, 89, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 in his home. He was born on August 24, 1931 to the late Edith (Snyder) and Karl Bauer.
Earl was a lifelong resident of Willard. He served in the United States Air Force and worked as an electronic technician for NASA until his retirement. Earl was a member of the Willard Trinity Lutheran Church, the North Fairfield American Legion, the North Fairfield Lions Club, and served on the North Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, and making maple syrup. Phyllis and Earl loved traveling all over the country together and having the family over for their traditional Sunday meals. Earl made wooden rocking horses for several of his great-grandchildren, creating a beautiful way for his family to be able to love and remember him for generations.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis Bauer; children Mike (Susan) Bauer, of Willard, Marsha (John) Seidel, of Greenwich, Cheryl (Jim) TyRee, of Mansfield, Deanna Albert of Norwalk, Jody (Hugh) Dobbins, of Bucyrus, Wendy Slone, of Willard, and Nancy Daniels, of Norwalk; grandchildren, Valerie Seidel, Brett Seidel, Heath Albert, Heather Roland, Jamie Clark, Rachelle Fitzpatrick, Tony Smith, Lauren Daniels, Todd Gardner, Clay Fidler, Cody Fidler, Brandon Slone, Jason Bauer, Bill Bauer, Jamie Tyler; 22 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ann Bauer; son, Jimmy Moser; grandson, Zachary Fidler; son-in-law, Bruce Albert; and siblings, Wayne Bauer, Claude, Luellen Daron, and Esther Wilcox.
His family plans to hold private services, but they encourage his family and friends to honor Earl’s memory in your own way.
