Earl "Sonny" Mull

Earl “Sonny” L. Mull, 93, of Wellington, passed away, Friday evening, August 25, 2023, at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.

Earl was born on May 20, 1930, in Pittsfield, OH, to the late Louise Helen (Heiden) Mull and William Ezra Mull. He was a lifelong resident of the Wellington area, and more specifically the family farm. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1948 and was a member of the United States Army for over two years. Earl enjoyed working the land and was also a dairy farmer. John Deere was the only brand of tractor you would find on his farm. Earl also worked for Lorain County Joint Vocational School in custodial services. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington. Earl enjoyed visiting county fairs, gardening, and giving away his homegrown vegetables and flowers to family and friends.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Lou (Jensen) Mull; sons, Daniel Mull of North Lawrence, OH, and David (Tammy) Mull of Wellington; 3 grandchildren, Sara (Brian), Macey (Joe), Liz (Calvin); and one great-granddaughter, Grace.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his brother, William in infancy.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, OH 44090. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 10:30 am at First Baptist Church of Wellington, 125 Grand Avenue, Wellington, OH 44090. Pastor Tom Alexander will be presiding. Burial will follow at Pittsfield Cemetery.
