Edward J. (Wenceslas) Schoville, 68, of New London, Ohio, died on May 23, 2023, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio. He was born on April 4, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Burrell and Mildred (Brinker) Schoville. Ed graduated from Wellington High School in 1973 and studied Agricultural Mechanics at Lorain County JVC.
A devoted family man and lifelong farmer, Ed was always good for a story. He worked for Krystowski Tractor Sales Inc. for 17 ½ years where he made many friends, and also for the Village of New London for 28 ½ years. A hard worker, Ed enjoyed growing things, and caring for family and animals. He loved to spend time with friends and family and was known for his generosity and kindness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane A. (Zilka) Schoville; their son, Edward (Tami) Schoville; sisters, Diane C. (Dan) Soboslai and Susan Citro; grandsons, Casey Sparr and Justin (Justine) Paramore; great grandchildren, Nolen Sparr, Kaelynn Paramore and Hyleigh Paramore; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in-laws, Tim Zilka, George Zilka, and Mike Zilka, and mother in-law and father in-law, Agnes and George Zilka.
A memorial visitation is planned for Friday, May 26, 2023, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, OH 44851, from 2-4 p.m. and also 6-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave., New London, OH 44851 , beginning at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Ron Brickner presiding. Burial will follow the mass in Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery. After the burial everyone is invited to the farm (6292 Cook Rd., New London) for food and fellowship.
