Eula “Kay” Stanley, 65, of Wakeman, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at home with her loving family by her side. Kay was born in Ft. Knox, KY on January 31, 1958; she was the daughter of the late Lowell and Eula “Dove” (Maynard) Marshall. Kay graduated in 1976 from North Ridgeville High School. She lived in the North Ridgeville and Elyria area prior to settling in Wakeman.
Kay retired from Twilight Gardens Nursing Home and attended Barrett’s Chapel in New London. She enjoyed playing solitaire card games. Her family was especially important to her and she cherished their time together. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she often referred to as “the little kids”. She loved her little dog Gracie. Kay also enjoyed bantering with Joe Yoder.
Kay is survived by her loving husband, Richard Lee Stanley, they have shared 46 years of marriage together. Her children, Richard “Jason” (Summer) Stanley of Brunswick, Misty Kistler of New London, Dusty (Tom) Myers of New London, Lisa (John) Burnsworth of Elyria and Brian (Misty) Stanley of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Seth, Bridget, Derek, Lee, Baylee, Summer, Koltin, Cheyla, Jaryd, Matthew, Jacob, Landon, Joseph, Brittany, Alyssa and Anthony; 7 great-grandchildren, Breanna, Jalen, Robbi, Gracie, Haylee, Carter and Brody; siblings, Roger (Loraine) Marshall of Amherst, Linda Miller, Denise Groves and Diane Walls all of Elyria; half-sisters, Mitzi Doman of Morgantown, WV, Marci Morgan of Morgantown, WV and Melody Malinsky of Mount Morris, PA.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Bridget Stanley; son in law, Hans Kistler; her grandsons, Jonathan Kistler and Braydon Marshall; her brother, Lowell Marshall “ Jr”, and her beloved dog, Jasper.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the New London Alliance Church, 4625 State Route 162 West, New London, OH 44851. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
