Norwalk, Ohio - Gordon D. Albright, 90, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, Ohio. He was born to the late Clayton L. and Margaret A. (Arthur) Albright on March 2, 1929 in Greenfield Township, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident, living in Monroeville and moving to Norwalk in 1974. Gordon graduated from Monroeville High School in 1947 and served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and was stationed in Japan for 18 months. He was a farmer at Albright Turkey Farm for over 20 years. He then worked at Seven Limers Inc. in Bellevue, Ohio as a Parts and Sales Manager for another 20 years before retiring. Gordon was known as a “fix it man” as he could repair almost anything and was quite a handy man. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jo Ann Albright of Norwalk, Ohio; by his children, Gary D. (Bonnie) Albright of Willard, Ohio and Dale G. Albright of Norwalk, Ohio; by 4 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Ann (Melvin) Keefer of Milan, Ohio and Elaine (David) Munson of Crystal Lake, Illinois. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his brother and sister in law, Richard and Carol Albright. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Steuben Church of the Master, 2643 OH-162, Monroeville, Ohio 44847. Rev. Dan Caudill will officiate. Interment will follow in Steuben Cemetery in Greenfield Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Steuben Church of the Master or Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio.
