Harold "Rick" Knott Jr.

Harold “Rick” Knott Jr., 65, of New London died on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Fisher Titus Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born on October 20, 1954 in Bowling Green, Ohio, the son of the late Shirley (Andrews) and Harold Knott Sr.

Harold grew up in the Norwalk area and moved to New London.  He retired after 40 years as a truck driver.  Harold was a kind, loving and caring man, who spent his life taking care of his wife and children.  Harold enjoyed every minute he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was an all-around great guy and anyone who met him, loved him.  He also loved to fish. 

Harold is survived by his children; Missy (Dale) Gilbert, Penny (Jamie) Case, Kenny (Shannon) Knott, Scott Knott and Matt (Leslie) Knott; siblings, Lela (Ken) Gaietto, Kim (Shawn) Ratliff, Tom Knott, and David Andrews; sisters and brothers in law, Paulene Lengyel, John Beekman, Susan Castle and Jimmy Parrott; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.  Harold is preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Jewel Knott; brother, Ronald Knott, sisters and brother in law, Allene Beekman, Debbie Parrott and Arthur Parrott.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street. New London, OH.  Funeral Services will begin at 11 am on Thursday, March 12, at the funeral home, burial to follow at Grove Street Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences for the family can be directed to www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
