James Lomax

James Lomax, 77, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Monday, September 27, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 7, 1944, in Decota, West Virginia, he was a son of the late James and Bonnie (Boling) Lomax.
James worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad in Bellevue as a switchman and yardmaster until his retirement in 2004. An avid golfer, James loved hitting the links at Sleepy Hollow in Clyde. He enjoyed all sports and treasured time spent with his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth, whom he married in January of 1962; children, Teresa (Jackie Zieber) Miller, of Columbus, Timothy (Tonua) Lomax, of Hamilton, and Tracy (Terry) Harvey, of Monroeville; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Lomax; sister, Sue Kirk, both of Indiana and several nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Wilkinson and brothers, Doug, James, and Jerry Lomax.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
