Joan Mary Graffice, 89, of Greenwich, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Ontario Pointe Senior Living in Ontario, Ohio. She was born on August 2, 1932 in Willard, Ohio to the late Herbert and Irene (Stockmaster) Eberly. Joan was the Valedictorian of Willard High School class of 1950. She then attended Bowling Green State University.
Joan was an elementary teacher at South Central Schools for many years, volunteering there after retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New London and recently a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Sulphur Springs, Ohio. Joan was devoted to the church supporting its ministries, especially those to babies and the unborn. Her devoted prayer life was an example to anyone she shared life with. She enjoyed playing cards, watching the Cleveland Indians and was an avid reader for much of her life. Most of all, Joan cherished celebrating life with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Denise (Mark) Uselton, of Ashland, Ohio, Mark Graffice, of TX, Eric (Shanda) Graffice, of TN, Thomas Graffice, of NV, and Chris (Carrie) Graffice, of Delaware, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings Rose Kehres, Gerald Eberly and Robert Eberly. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold F. Graffice, and sisters Mary Ann Heydinger and Patricia Bauman.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home in New London, Ohio. A Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home. Fr.
