Joan L. “Fritz” Ringholz, 90, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Fisher Titus Medical Center. She was born to the late Frank E. and Eleanor (Frank) Ringholz on October 15, 1930 in Norwalk, Ohio, graduated from St. Paul High School, and she was a lifelong area resident.
Joan was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Norwalk, Ohio, and she had worked many years as a salesclerk for Ringholz and Myers Clothing Store. In her early years, she was very athletic and enjoyed playing volleyball and baseball. Joan enjoyed flowers, gardening and crocheting afghans for her friends and family. Joan held a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs and birds.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carol A. Shaffoe, of Milan, Ohio, Dave G. (Marie) Ringholz, of Albany, GA, Bob P. (Karen) Ringholz, of Spring, TX, Kathy J. (Brian) Meagrow, of Milan, Ohio, Steve E. (Veronica) Ringholz, of Monroeville, Ohio, Linda R. (Paul) Monnes, of Norwalk, Ohio, Chuck R. (Many) Ringholz, of Norwalk, Ohio, Doug J. (Tami) Ringholz, of Norwalk, Ohio, Theresa (Bill) Consolo, of Toledo, Ohio, Mike (Cindi) Ringholz, of High Point, NC, Gary Ringholz, of Sandusky, Ohio, and by several great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her siblings, Gene Ringholz, Carl Ringholz, Paul Ringholz, James Ringholz, and Mary Barva.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 10:30 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 44857, with a graveside service to follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Out of respect for all in attendance, guests are reminded to wear a mask and practice all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines.
