John Hendrickson Obituary

John Steven Hendrickson, 51, of Norwalk, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 24, 1968 in Norwalk, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident. Steve was a 1987 graduate of Western Reserve High School and went into the Marine Corps immediately following graduation and served in Desert Storm. He worked for Boxboard Packaging, Janesville Products, Inc. and for the last 11 years, was employed by New Horizons Baking Company. 

Steve enjoyed playing video games, watching Ohio State football, he supported the Cleveland Indians and Browns and liked to watch local hockey teams.  He loved to travel out West with his family to Montana, Wyoming, and Washington State where they enjoyed hiking and site seeing.  Steve had an appreciation for the quiet and his most favorite time was spent at home relaxing with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Barbara A. (McConnell) Hendrickson of Norwalk, Ohio, by his son, Zachary C. (Alex) Hendrickson of Bellevue, Ohio, and by his granddaughter, Sophia.  Steve is also survived by his parents, Patricia J. and Charles J. “Joe” Bader of Norwalk, Ohio, by his sisters, Amy S. (Jeff) Obringer of Norwalk, Ohio, and Lisa (Matt) Davidson of San Antonio, Texas, by his brother, Scott (Colleen) Bader of Chatham, New Jersey, and by his nieces and nephews; Colin, Quinn, Mattie, Gabriel, and Aislinn.

A memorial visitation will be held at a later date at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio.
