Joshua David Hess

Joshua David Hess, age 18, of New London, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. He was born on October 13, 2000 to Jenny and Jonathan Hess of New London. He was a senior at New London High School. He was accepted to the Ohio State University where he planned on majoring in computer science and engineering. He was employed at Gas Depot in New London.

Josh was an amazing athlete, excelling in football and baseball. He was a team captain for the football team and a four year letterman. He was a member of the Teen Leadership Corp. He enjoyed gaming, fishing, his dogs and farm animals. He touched the lives of many people.

In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by siblings, Garrett, Logan and Isabella Hess, all of New London; maternal grandparents, Linda Early of Greenwich and Lee Early of Sandusky; paternal grandfather, John Hess of North Fairfield; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Diania Dye in 2010.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, from 1 - 5 p.m. at the New London High School, 1 Wildcat Drive, New London, Ohio where Funeral Services will follow at 5:00 p.m. A private burial will take place on a later date at Grove Street Cemetery.
