Judy C. Ackerman

Judy C. Ackerman, 70, of Norwalk, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 20, 2019 in Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky following a lengthy illness.  She was born on January 14, 1949 in Morgantown, West Virginia. 

Judy was employed as a Habilitation Specialist with the Renaissance House in Norwalk, retiring in 2010.  She was a past employee of Christie Lane Industries, Fisher-Titus Medical Center where she was a housekeeper.  She also worked at Norstat, Durable Mat Company and Abbey’s Country Store in Olena.  Judy was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Norwalk, and enjoyed playing bingo, word search books, bird watching, reading, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her son, Ronald Ackerman Jr. of Norwalk, by her daughters, Ronda Ackerman and Melinda (Jose) Alonso, both of Norwalk, by her grandchildren, Joshua (Veronica) Ackerman of Norwalk, Amber Ackerman of Norwalk, Tiffany (Cody) Wildman of Norwalk, Maerri Ritter of North Fort Myers, Florida, and Bryan Wolford of Tuscon, Arizona, by her great grandchildren, Olivia Wierich, and Colleen Hunt of North Fort Myers, Florida, Adelina and Brycen Ackerman of Norwalk, Allison and Xavier Wildman of Norwalk.  Judy is also survived by her sisters, Deb (Terry) Henry of New Haven, Mary (Michael) Hornsby of Norwalk, Millie (Leroy) Staley of Norwalk, Barb Mann and Wanda Perry of Norwalk, and her brother Larry (Chris) Wyant of Wakeman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Ackerman Sr. in October 2010, and by her parents, Basil Wyant in 1996, and S. Marie Wyant in 2003, by her brother Jerry Wyant in 1979 and a brother in infancy, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Friends may call on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
