Karen Elizabeth (Greene) Riggin

Karen Elizabeth (nee Greene) Riggin, 65, of Norwalk, Ohio, died on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from Parkinson’s Disease. She was born on October 24, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Janet (nee Elbert) and Thomas Greene.  

She was a 1974 graduate of Firelands High School and received her degree in nursing from MB Johnson School of Nursing. She worked at Gaymont Nursing home for 39 years and at Provenance Care Center for almost 10 years before her retirement. Karen enjoyed vacationing at her cabin in Michigan, playing computer games and poker, baking, eating banana splits, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family.  

Karen is survived by her husband, Richard Riggin; daughter, Madison Riggin; stepdaughter, Shannon Riggin-Slone; siblings, Kevin (Antonio Pradial) Greene, Tom (Mary) Greene, Susan (Ben) Bonaminio, Mary Greene, Bill (Terri) Greene, and Amy (Charlie) Tarbert; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Greene; and nephews, Ben Bonaminio and Cameron Greene. 

Karen’s family will be fulfilling her wish to be cremated. They will not be holding services at this time but encourage those who loved her to honor her in their own way.
