Kenneth Leroy Jamison, 69, of Wellington passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 following a long illness complicated by COVID-19. Born in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Anna (nee Metz) and Philip Jamison. He resided in New London before moving to Wellington in 1975.
Kenneth had a heart for serving and protecting others, proudly serving in the US Navy for four years. He later went on to become a police officer for Wellington, Sheffield Lake and Wakeman Police Department. Kenneth drove truck for many years before retiring.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Susan (nee Friend) Jamison; daughters, Melissa (Joseph) Reavis and Amanda (Gary Jr.) McMullen, both of Wellington; grandchildren, Brandan and Miranda Sorg, Gavin McMullen; and siblings, Pat and Carol. Kenneth was preceded in death by his siblings, Philip Jr., Phyllis, Richard and Larry; his mother and father-in-law, Nola and Lyle Friend; brother-in-law, Don Miller; and his best friends, John Minnich and Butch Hunter.
No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneth’s memory may be directed to the family in care of Norton-Eastman Funeral Home.
