Kenneth Lee King

Kenneth “Ken” Lee King, 70, residing in Norwalk, passed away early Thursday morning, January 19, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.  

Ken was born on September 27, 1952, in New London, OH, to the late Ermin and Mary Rosalie (Broome) King. During childhood, Ken’s family moved to California, where he graduated from Workman High School. After graduation, Ken moved back to Ohio, where he became the shipping manager for the Durable Corporation, retiring after 43 years. In his spare time, Ken enjoyed running an antique shop with his wife, corvette shows, and riding motorcycles.  

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Debbie (Conaway) King, whom he married on November 7, 1980; daughter, Jenny Prelipp of Avon Lake; son, Eric (Renee) King of Monroeville; 3 grandchildren, Xander, Norah, and Greyson; sister, Joni (Mark) Curry of California; brothers, Steve (Francy) King of California, Bruce (Kemi) King of West Virginia, and Jason Salaiz of California.  

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Marty King.  

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 10 am until 11:30 at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
