Kurt Gnandt, 58, passed away on February 12, 2021. He was born in Oberlin and was a lifelong resident of Penfield. Kurt graduated from Keystone High School where he was a first team all-conference basketball player and an excellent baseball player. After graduation he became an electrician and later an electrical supervisor, a career that continued up until his passing. He also spent much time over the years working on the family farm.
Kurt was a very likeable person with a good sense of humor. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to casinos. He will be greatly missed by his relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eleanor, and his sisters, Carmen and Karen. He is survived by his brothers, Mark (Bath, O.) and Eric (Penfield), son Christopher (Perrysburg, O.), and nephew Shawn (Valencia, Cal.).
At his request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lorain Mercy New Life Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Norton-Eastman Funeral Home and online condolences may be expressed at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
