Lee Bohland Obituary

Lee Bohland, the proud son of Andrew and Anna Marie, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2021 at the age of 64. He was born August 28, 1956 in New London, Ohio and was a 1974 graduate of Mapleton High School. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile, and maybe a little cussing.

Growing up shadowing his father, Lee became a jack of all trades, which would become the signature of his life’s work. If he couldn’t fix it, you could be guaranteed he knew who could. He knew no strangers, and his work through his company Lee’s Pump & Well, and his time as an Energy Advisor for Firelands Electric Company facilitated his ever-growing collection of friends. Lee will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for his unconditional love, support, humor, and generosity.

Lee is survived by his life partner Jeanene “Baby-Cakes” Stover; his children Dillon (Heather) Collins, Kendra Bohland, and Lori Bohland; his granddaughter Emerson (who will miss the silly quacking of her Grandpa Duck); his dear friend and ex-wife Linda (Collins)Trager; brothers Phillip (Jeanette) Bohland, Eric Bohland, and Randy Bohland; Sisters Phyllis (Bob) Roerig and Sandy (Scott) Lamoreaux. Also surviving are a vast multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by many including his parents Andrew and Anna Marie (Smith) Bohland; brothers, Jerry Bohland, Terry Bohland, Dale Bohland, and sister Marie DeLosh.

NOTE FROM LEE:

“Life is not worth living if you can’t enjoy the simple things. I love my life, my family, and my friends. I thank my parents for giving me life and wisdom. I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars for the love of my life, and further thank God for my children, my poop-doop granddaughter, and for the years of health, prosperity, and especially happiness that he bestowed upon me. I’ve been blessed.”
