Linda G. McQuillen, 75, of Shiloh, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at home following a long illness.
Linda was born on March 18, 1948, in Carrizozo, NM to the late Cecil and Fredia “Jackie” Thompson. Beside her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Vaughn of Waco, TX and her 1st husband, John “Bill” Thew of Galion. Linda married Terry McQuillen on February 16, 2004, he survives. They lived on the family farm in Shiloh.
Linda is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bill (Debra) Brown of Albuquerque, NM and Mr. C. Lynn (Lisa) Thompson of Belen, NM.
She is also survived by her children; Mrs. Del (Susan) Smith (Malvern, OH) Mr. John (Stephanie) Thew (Ontario OH) and Mr. Jared (Jessica) Thew (Ontario OH) and stepsons Mr. Chad (Samantha) McQuillen (Lexington KY) and Vic McQuillen (Shiloh OH). Linda has 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces in Ohio, Indiana, California, Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
Linda loved spending time with her family and her Yorkie, Cody. She also loved going to the casinos when vacationing out west. She loved fishing on Lake Erie.
She owned and operated the restaurant in Savannah known as Olde Keyes then Linda’s Country Cooking. Following her retirement from the restaurant, she enjoyed driving many Amish and Mennonite friends and neighbors to their destinations, locally and surrounding states.
Linda is a member of the Adario Global Methodist Church.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main Street, Greenwich, OH 44837. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 11 am at Adario Global Methodist Church, 1790 Adario East Road, Shiloh, OH 44878. The burial will follow in Adario Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Butler Township Hall.
