Linda L. Shepherd, 72, of Ashland died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital surrounded by all her family. She was born July 28, 1950, in Willard to the late Mary Magdalene (Stephens) Munns and Frank Ratliff, as well as her stepfather Jesse G. Munns. Linda was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1968 and enjoyed crafting, quilting, crocheting, cooking, gardening, tracking family history and making dolls. She loved her family and enjoyed weekend adventures fishing or just walking through the flowers enjoying nature. Trips to Mohican walking along the river or going to the gorge there to watch the sunset with family, sunset blue was her favorite color. She loved her hummingbirds, and all her animals. She also loved a mean horror movie or just relaxing back with a good old adventure flick. An avid reader with a love for stories and telling stories.
Mrs. Shepherd is survived by her husband, James E. Shepherd Sr; 4 children, James E. (Sarah) Shepherd Jr. of Ashland, Jessica L. Shepherd of Ashland, Simi (Jeremy Mitchell) Shepherd of Mansfield and Josh Shepherd of Plymouth; granddaughter, Mackenzie (Jon) Selleny; 2 great grandchildren, Elliott Jonathon Selleny Dominic Henry Selleny ; siblings, Mitchell E. (Tracey) Munns, Michael (Kim) Munns, Constance Knapp, Yvonne Hively, Sally Jo Dillon, and Frank Ratliff Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sandra Lively, Luther Ratliff II, and Eddie Ratliff.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 1-2 p.m. with services beginning at 2 p.m. at the Greenwich First Baptist Church, 98 Townsend Street, Greenwich, Ohio 44837 with Pastor Gary Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Greenwich First Baptist Church. The staff of the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W.
