Lucille F. Grimmer (nee Spoerr) was born April 15, 1925 and entered Heaven on February 23, 2020. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1944 and in 1946 married Bernard Grimmer and raised two daughters. She was a lifelong resident of Norwalk and the youngest of four children of Carl & Christina Spoerr. She was baptized on March 26, 1926 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Norwalk where she was an active, lifetime member.
Lucille was greeted in heaven by her husband Bernard who preceded her in 2005, daughter Diana Sweet in 2008, her siblings and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her daughter Nancy (Bill) Pedley of Webster Groves, MO; son-in-law Dale Sweet of Punta Gorda FL; granddaughters Julie Ann (John) Buntin of Akron OH, Kristen Sweet of Maryland, Elizabeth Pedley of Florida, Alyson (Jason) Lehtman, and Catherine Pedley of Missouri; two great-grandsons and many friends and extended family.
Lucille retired from GTE Phone Company in 1982 and then began a remarkable record of volunteering at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk Memorial Home and the Carriage House. On her 93rd birthday she was recognized with over 35 years of volunteering for the hospital system. She took great pride in helping others.

Cremation has taken place. A drive thru visitation to show support for the family will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Ave. Norwalk, Ohio from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Visitors should enter through church’s east entrance and exit using the west exit. Visitors are also encouraged to wear a mask and practice all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines. A private graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
