Mae Marietta Obituary

Mae Marietta passed away one year ago. Because of the COVID-10 pandemic, there wasn’t a funeral or full obituary published. To commemorate her death, the following is her full obituary: 

Mae Marietta, 84, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Continuing Healthcare of Milan, following a lengthy illness. She was born to the late Roy and Levada Duncan in Garret, KY. Mae had been a waitress most of her life and was well known in the Norwalk community. She worked at the Crystal Restaurant and Seven Seas Restaurant. She finished her career at Berry’s Restaurant having worked there for 36 years. 

She enjoyed crocheting, reading and most importantly, shopping. Mae was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Mae is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Marietta of Norwalk, OH; a daughter, Teresa (Joey) Palumbo of David, KY; a son, Chuck (Jennifer) Marietta of Norwalk, OH; grandchildren, Austin and Chelsea Marietta of Norwalk, OH; and a brother, Sam Duncan of Hueysville, KY. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, twins, Franklin and Glen Duncan in infancy, Frank Duncan, Charlie Duncan, Amos Duncan and Roy Ray Duncan; sisters, Mavis Perry and Mazie McKenzie; and a grandson, Ian Michael Marietta. 

Mae was cremated, and a private family service will be held at a later date. She will be buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk, Ohio. Online condolences may be made by going to www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com.
