Marguerite Leonard, 76, of Wellington, died Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain. Born on February 25, 1945, in Elyria, she was the daughter of the late Mary (nee Spisak) and Matthew Leonard. Marguerite was a graduate of Elyria High School and lived most of her life in Elyria before moving to Wellington.
Marguerite was a talented artist and crafter and had enjoyed attending various craft shows in the area. She loved gardening and celebrating the holidays, especially through her traditions of decorating. She was a devoted Cleveland Indians fan as well. Many will remember Marguerite for her posts on Facebook and the caring and uplifting spirit she brought to the community, contributing to making it a more pleasant place. Through Facebook, she made countless friends many of which she never met in person.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13, at 11 a.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington. Pastor Paul Wilson will officiate. Those attending the service are encouraged to wear their Cleveland Indians gear to honor Marguerite’s memory. Expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
