Penelope J. “Penny” Peckham, 58, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning, April 1, 2024. She was born on October 25, 1965, in Amherst, Ohio, to Joyce (Haynes) White and the late Willie Reagan. She graduated from Edison High School in 1984.
Penny was loving, generous, charitable and feisty. She had a huge heart and wonderful smile. She loved animals and long walks with her dog, and shined in opportunities to help others. Her character was most evident in times of trouble. After her cancer diagnosis and several other medical setbacks she responded with strength and a smile. Penny was also creative, crafty and undeniably caring.
She will be fondly remembered and forever missed by her loving companion, Doug Sprowles; his mother, Mary Sharfenberg; Penny’s mother, Joyce (Haynes) White; Penny’s children, Christy (Keith) Fox of Wellington and Thomas Peckham of Norwalk; siblings, Cathi (James) Twaddle, Dave (Chris) White, Denis White, Samantha Wright, Tarry (Vikki) White, Barry (Denise) White, Willie Reagan II, Thomas (Monica) White, and Shawn (Kaci) White; as well as many, many nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
In addition to her birth father, Willie Reagan, she was also preceded in death by her step father, David White.
A visitation for Penny is planned for Friday, April 5, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. Out of Penny’s love for animals in need, memorial contributions may be directed to the Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Ave., Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.
