Raymond W. Caldwell Jr.

Raymond W. Caldwell Jr., 88, passed away at his home on May 3, 2020.  He was born on July 4, 1931 in Oberlin, OH to the late Ruby (Quinn) and Raymond Caldwell Sr.

Raymond was a graduate of New London High School.  During the 1960’s and 1970’s he was employed as a police officer with the Village of New London.  He became employed with General Motors in Ontario, OH, having retired in the early 1990’s after 32 years.  He was a member of the New London United Methodist Church. 

Raymond left this life on earth, leaving behind his loving wife of 68 years; Hazel (Randleman) Caldwell of New London. Daughters; Ruby Johnson of Jeffersonville, OH, Teresa (LB) Jones of Ft. Wayne, IN, Vanessa (Marvin) Harris of Cataula, GA, LaVone Caldwell of Columbus, OH and H. Renee Saunders (niece/daughter) of Columbus, OH; son, Steven Caldwell of CA; sister Barbara Harris of Cleveland, OH; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his son in law, Tod Johnson and grandson, Travis Harris.
