Regina Virginia (Hipp) Schild

Regina V. Schild, 89, of Norwalk, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 11, 2021, at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center.  She was born on November 3, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio.  Her parents were the late Clarence and Gertrude (Weidinger) Hipp.  Regina was a 1951 Norwalk High School graduate. 

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Regina could play the accordion and organ by ear and enjoyed playing cards and euchre.  She worked at Fair Publishing for over 30 years and was a lifelong member of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church in Norwalk.   

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Howard Schild; their daughters, Lesta (Edmund) Schafer of Port Clinton and Rhonda (David) Doughty of Norwalk; grandchildren, Luke Schafer of Columbus, Courtney (Jeff) Popek of Stow, Brittany (Brian) Belcher of Columbus and John H. Seitz of Republic; great grandchildren, Adalee and Solomon Belcher and Jocelyn and Addison Popek; brother, Joe Hipp of Norwalk, and sister in-law, Ida Hipp of Norwalk. 

Visitation will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church beginning at 10:30 am on Friday, July 16, 2021, with Fr. Anthony Recker officiating.   Burial will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Norwalk.  Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 38 W.
