Reginald Theodore Reed

Reginald Theodore Reed, 98, of Wellington, died Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the Elms Retirement Village. One of eight children, Reginald was born in Cleveland on November 7, 1924 to the late Thomas “Jack” and Gladys Reed. He was honored as the valedictorian of his Lodi High School class.  

For many years, Reginald worked as an office manager at a Chevrolet dealership in Lodi. He also enjoyed farming and tending to his large gardens. Reginald was a member of the Penfield Congregational Church and was active with their men’s fellowship group. He and his wife, Elizabeth, found great pleasure going on walks together and swimming. They also enjoyed traveling.  

He is survived by his children, Kathryn Evanko, of Dearborn, MI and son, Thomas (Kay) Reed Sr., of Wellington; 5 grandchildren, Tina, Thomas Jr, Sarah, Joseph, Bradley and Kenneth; 10 great grandchildren, Christopher, Cole, Trevor, Tony, Mandy, Aaron, Austin, Dominic, Sophia, and Gabriel; 7 great-great grandchildren and his sister, Shirley Franks. Reginald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth; son, Kenneth; daughter-in-law, Judith; and siblings, Jack, Doug, Carl, Joseph, and Dorothy.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 29, from 12 p.m. until the time of services beginning at 2 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington.
