Richard E. Meisler, 69, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 surrounded by his wife, children, and loving family members. He was born on September 27, 1950 in Dover, Delaware to James G. and Mary (Bell) Meisler. He was a 1970 graduate of Norwalk High School.
Rich married Terrie Sweet, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, on August 7, 1971. Together they raised three children. They enjoyed 48 wonderful years together. Rich and Terrie were a dynamic duo and you rarely saw one without the other.
Rich was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran. He worked for the Railroad and then Lake Erie Construction, and finally Firelands Supply. Many of his coworkers became lifelong friends. There wasn’t a person who knew him that didn’t love him. His genuine kindness and smile will be missed for years to come.
Rich was an avid sports fan, especially when rooting for the Norwalk Truckers, Ladies in Blue and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife Terrie; son, Mathew (Megan) Meisler; daughters, Corrie (Derek) Olcott and Amanda (Joey) Pirrone; grandchildren, P.F.C.
