Richard A. Reynolds, 89, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, Ohio died on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at home. He was born on November 2, 1931 in Shelby, Ohio, the son of the late Roscoe and Gladys (nee Goines) Reynolds. Richard was a graduate of Shiloh High School.
Richard proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of the Ripley Church. Richard spent most of his life in sales, which included car sales and insurance. He enjoyed playing drums in a band for over three decades. Richard enjoyed camping at Auburn Lakes and pitched a good game of horseshoes.
Survivors include his children, Diana McDonald, of Plymouth, Chris (Teena) Reynolds, of Greenwich, Steven Reynolds, of Mansfield, and Greg (Sarah) Reynolds, of Milan; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Loriann Reynolds of Lexington; sisters, Shirley Goodall of Greenwich and Ann Miller of PA.
Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Reynolds almost two years to the date, they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage; in addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Bill and Roscoe Reynolds Jr.
Friends and family will gather on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at The Ripley Church, 4130 Edwards Road, Greenwich, 44837, Pastor Eric Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow at Edwards Grove Cemetery. Donations in Richard’s memory may be directed to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
