Robert “Bobby” Braden, 75, of Collins, passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 12, 1943 in Norwalk to the late Roy and Wonita (Elmer) Braden.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He was ornery as the day is long, full of joy, funny and an all-around nice guy. He enjoyed gambling and going to the Norwalk Eagles and former Moose Club. He will be fondly remembered and forever missed.
Bobby had worked for the former Crow Lumber Company and Durable Corporation as a tow motor operator.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sherida (Oney) Braden; daughter, Shannon, siblings, Sharon, Dale, Keith, Bill, Ronnie, Darrell, Linda and Donna and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa and siblings, Roy and Susie.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 1 pm – 3 pm. A luncheon will be held at The Eagles in Norwalk after the gathering. To honor Bobby’s wishes he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home in care of the family.
