Robert Hurst Obituary

Robert F. Hurst (84) of Elyria died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain, Ohio.  He was born November 3, 1936 in Cleveland to the late Josephine (Bush) and Forest Ray Hurst.  Bob was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict and a mechanic by trade and after retirement he was a bike assembler at Walmart.  Bob was a member of the VFW and Eagles in Elyria, and enjoyed listening to the Cleveland Indians and Browns on the radio, doing yard work, fishing and having a beer at the bar with his buddies, but spending time with his grandchildren he cherished most. 

    Bob is survived by his 6 children: Robert (Noreen) Hurst of Medina, Jackie (Chuck) Arthur of Arizona, Christopher (Vicki) Hurst of Elyria, Greg (Becky) Hurst of Westlake, Robin (Patrick) Fuller of Elyria and Beth (Wally) Hamilton of South Amherst., 28 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, siblings: Lilly Rosa of Elyria, Nancy McNea of North Ridgeville, Aggie (David) Baldwin of Oberlin and Thomas (Liz) Hurst of South Carolina.  He was preceded by his parents, wife: Georgetta (Lyons) Hurst, Daughter: Denise and 11 brothers and sisters. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Cathedral of Life Church, 5375 Jaycox Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio  44039.
