Robert Roth, Sr. Obituary

Robert Andrew Roth, Sr., of Wellington, died Monday, December 5, 2022 at Welcome Nursing Home. Born at home in Sheffield Village on September 15, 1938, Robert was the son of William Andrew and Emma Roth.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed as a mechanic at Ft. Ord, CA. Bob was a member of the Wellington American Legion and VFW.

A CNC operator, Bob worked at Bendix and Parker Hannifin Airborne Division.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating. A talented auto mechanic, he could fix anything, and if he couldn’t his family joked that he would “Boberize” it into working. He loved repairing lawn mowers, his beagles, gardening, and tending to his fruit trees.  A true auction connoisseur, he loved attending and searching for auction treasures. His favorite pastime was going on mini-vacations with his wife and sister to casinos. He supported his family and always attended his kids’ and grandkids’ events. In his later years, Bob liked to play games on his computer.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Eva Elizabeth (nee Adcock); children, Robert Andrew “Andy” Roth, Jr., of Inverness, FL and Karen (Rick) Caswell, of Wellington; grandchildren, Alecia (Paul) Dria and Aaron (Carly) Caswell; great grandchildren Aden and Emma; brother, William Roth, of Sheffield; stepbrother, James Logar, of Sheffield; stepsister, Barb (Gary) Lamier, of Amherst and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father, William Roth; mother, Emma Logar; stepfather, Louis “Cy” Logar; sisters, Regina MacDonald and Kathy Mayti; and stepbrothers, Jerry and Louis Logar.

No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Wellington American Legion. Arrangements were entrusted to Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, Wellington, and expressions of sympathy for the Roth family may be given at: www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
