Bob Shatzer (Big Bob), father, grandfather, brother and friend was called to his heavenly home unexpectedly. He was born the son of Sylvia L Walls and Edward Shatzer on August 21, 1955. Bob grew up and lived his life in northern Ohio. He was a proud Marine Corp veteran. He worked for Janesville Products for 40 years only retiring when the Janesville plant shut down. Bob always had a booming voice and was an avid sports fan. He loved keeping up with the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. He was a friend to everyone, being very generous, to a fault sometimes. The Marine in him deserves the Marine Corp shoutout “Oorah! Semper Fi!”
Bob is survived by his daughters Shannon Arnold-Bundy, Lesley Nims, and Andrea Shatzer and grandchildren Ryan, Kaeley, Madison, Isabella, Jaden, Ava and William, Jr., his siblings Edward Brown, Pamela Cooper, Brenda Stevens, Suellen Smith, William Brown, Jr, Gary Brown, Carlos Brown, Mary Millis, Michael Brown and Mathew Brown and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia L Brown, his brothers Alexander Brown, Thomas Shatzer, Timothy Brown and sister Kathy Rose and many other friends and family members for whom he mourned.
Arrangements for a service and a celebration of Bob’s life are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to the Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St, Norwalk, Ohio 44857 or online at walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
