Robert L. Vick

Robert “Bob” L. Vick of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 in Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Ohio. He was born to the late Ethan Earl and Mary Ruth (Parker) Vick on July 31, 1956 in Norwalk, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1975 graduate of Norwalk High School and worked many years for the hotel industry as a maintenance man under Ruta Management, and over 30 years for Mid-Ohio Wines / Dayton Heidelberg Distribution, retiring in December of 2019. 

Bob was a jokester; he was friendly and kind to everyone he met, and he was a family man.  He enjoyed going to auctions, being outdoors, landscaping, gardening, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his children, Skylar M. Vick and Kallie K. Vick, both of Norwalk, Ohio, by his stepdaughter, Donita M. Weisenberger of Norwalk, Ohio, by 5 grandchildren, Austin Knoble, Alyshia Leimeister, Draven Vick, Garrett Weisenberger, and Seth Weisenberger, by his great- granddaughter, Ella Kubicki, and great-grandson, Robert Vick, expected to arrive soon.  He is also survived by his siblings, Ruth Ann Vick of Norwalk, Ohio, Ida Mae Vick of Mansfield, Ohio and Homer Null of Berlin Heights, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Maria R. Vick in 2015, and by his daughter, Roberta L. Vick in 2013.

There will be no visitation or services, and a private inurnment will be held in Milan Cemetery, Milan, Ohio, at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
