Roberta "Bobbie" J. Wallace

Roberta “Bobbie” J. Wallace, 98, residing in Huron, OH, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 19, 2021.  

Bobbie was born on November 3, 1922 in Cleveland, OH to the late Carl and Lillian (Warner) Dowell.  

Bobbie was a 1940 graduate of Huron High School and a member of Milan Friends Church. She was a loving homemaker for many years before entering the workforce after raising her children. Bobbie was a dedicated employee for Fanny Farmer’s, Rink’s and Mortensen’s. She also helped her daughter, Betty Jo, with her pie business for the last 15 years. In Bobbie’s spare time, she enjoyed playing games at the senior center, swimming at the Ernsthausen Recreation Center, bird watching, listening to the sound of a passing train and volunteering at every opportunity. Bobbie believed her purpose on earth was to work hard, lend a helping hand and spready joy whenever you can. She was a wonderful soul and all those who knew her were fortunate to be a part of her world.  

Bobbie is survived by her children, David Wallace of the Philippines, Joe (Carmen) Wallace of Milan, Cheryl Fawcett of Norwalk and Betty Jo Hoyt of Huron.  

In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph David Wallace; 3 brothers and a sister.  

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 10 am until the time of funeral services at 11 am at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. Reverend Mary Jo Bray will be officiating.
