Ronnie L. Farris, 67, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2020. He was born on May 31, 1952 in Monroe, MI to JL Farris and the late Martha (Parker) Farris.
Ronnie was a hard worker who liked to build things and help people with home improvement projects whenever he had an opportunity. He was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed hunting, golfing and fishing, and had participated in area bowling and adult baseball leagues. Ronnie was a history buff and a Sherlock Holmes aficionado.
He was a manager for the former Wickes Lumber, had worked at Norwalk furniture and most recently was with Menard’s. Ronnie served his country as part of the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 46 years, Diane (Livengood) Farris; father, JL Farris; children, Candice (Elijah) White of Norwalk, Jeanne (Kevin) Gahagan of Norwalk; grandchildren, Adrianna, Connor, Aiden, Ethan and Hailey and siblings, Jay Farris and Elizabeth Kuhl.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha (Parker) Farris.
A memorial gathering of family and friends is planned for Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 10 am until noon at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio 44857. A private family inurnment will follow the visitation in Meadowgreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
