Royce A. Ganz (84) of Fitchville, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at his home. He was born December 28, 1936 in Fitchville to the late Helen (Sackett) and Adam “Eddie” Ganz. Mr. Ganz was a graduate of New London High School, Class of 1955 and Farmed his entire life but for Mr. Ganz farming wasn’t an occupation but a way of life. He truly loved farming and when not in the fields he could be found in his shop repairing equipment or tinkering on something. He also enjoyed bee keeping, never selling his honey but was always quick to give his honey away. Mr. Ganz was in many organizations over the years including F&AM Gibson Lodge, 33 degree Mason, Ruritan, Firelands Co-Op Board, Huron County Fair New London Buyers Group, Farm Bureau just to name a few. He also enjoyed traveling and in his younger years bowling, going to dances with his wife Virginia, playing cards in a couple group and truly cherished spending time with his family.
Mr. Ganz is survived by his 4 children: Marc (Zina) Ganz of Norton, Terry “Scott” (Yenny) Ganz of New London, John (Maureen) Ganz of New London and Karen (Paul) Ganz Royce of Silver Springs, NY, 8 grandchildren: Cassandra, Miranda, Jocelyn, Augusto, Jonathan, Johanna, Lauren and Erin, 13 Great Grandchildren and sister: Beverly Keen of Ft. Pierce, FL. He was preceded by his parents, wife: Virginia (Simpson) Ganz, brother: Edward Ganz and infant brother: Roland Ganz.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London with a funeral service at 2:00 PM Friday, October 1, 2021 with a Masonic Service at 1:30 on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fitchville Cemetery.
