Sandra K. Bercheck

November 2, 1952 – November 19, 2022

Sandra (Sandy) K. Bercheck, 70, residing in rural Monroeville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. 

Sandy was born on November 2, 1952, in Lakewood, OH, to the late Alexander and Stella (Voloshen) Miller. She graduated from Lakewood High School and furthered her education at Cleveland State University before transferring to Ohio State University to complete her bachelor’s degree in 1975. Sandy was a dedicated employee at the School of Hope in Fremont, and later at Christie Lane School in Norwalk, serving as a case manager while at each workplace. 

Sandy enjoyed designing and creating jewelry under her business moniker, “Bo-Ho Beads”. Sandy also loved to design greeting cards for any occasion. She enjoyed gardening, reading novels, shopping, even more shopping, long walks with our dogs, and most importantly, spending time in God’s Word. Sandy had a servant’s heart and spent time volunteering at The Chapel, Norwalk Area Food Bank, and Monroeville Public Library’s special events. She had a unique sense of humor that allowed her to make others smile. Her greatest joy of all was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. 

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Donald Bercheck, who she married on June 20, 1981; children, Bethany (Douglas) Costlow of Watauga, TX, and Benjamin Bercheck of Portsmouth, OH;  2 grandchildren, Ram Costlow and, Isaac Costlow, and many loving cousins. 

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 10 am until the time of memorial service at 12 pm at The Chapel, Norwalk Campus, 156 S. Norwalk Road W., Norwalk, OH 44857. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
